The Judas tree is a bushy, deciduous tree that has a particularly excellent spring colour. Rosy-pink, pea shaped blooms appear in clusters all over the branches well before the leaves appear and can cover the whole tree including the trunk.

This is quickly followed by healthy, green, heart-shaped leaves that turn a gorgeous yellow and bronze in the autumn. This hardy tree is happy in both the full sun and partial shade and will tolerate most soil types as long as it is moist but well-drained.
