Bromeliad | Aechmea Primera | 15cm Pot | By Plant Theory
The Aechmea Primera or Bromeliad offer up some of the brightest colours you can get from a small houseplant. Once seen as a tricky indoor plant, many varieties have begun making their way into our homes and are proving to be very adept at growing inside the home. Bromeliads mostly originate from the Americas but can be found everywhere from rainforests to deserts so their care guides can vary from species to species. The pineapple is a fruit born from a Bromeliad! In our homes, they bring beautiful foliage and stunning flowers that come in a range of colours. This variety features large dropping leaves that have an almost chalk textured appearance whilst central to the plant is a beautiful pastel pink bloom. These plants tend to flourish in warm moist conditions so a bathroom can be the perfect spot.
Planting Tip
These plants can be forced to flower by placing them in a tied plastic bag with a ripe apple!
Houseplants supplied in a nursery pot as standard.
